we source garments from responsible manufacturers, including American Apparel, Gildan, Tultex, & Bella + Canvas.

how do your sizes work?

we use different base garment providers to bring you top quality products. each base may vary slightly in size. you can click the size chart icon on any product page to see the specific measurements and fit recommendations from our team. if you have any questions, email cs@apliiq.com for more info. we're here to help!

what does "unisex size" mean?

it's a slim guys cut but looks hot on men and women. ladies, usually order one size smaller than you normally would for womens pieces.

does apliiq have other textiles not listed on apliiq.com?

we are constantly finding new and amazing fabrics. we do our best to keep the site up-to-date. check back frequently as new fabrics are added all the time :)

how do i shop on apliiq.com?

all the products on apliiq.com are custom products designed by you. when you are done designing you can add items to your cart. continue to checkout enter your billing and shipping info, decide your shipping service, and enter your credit card, paypal, or gift card details. then place your order! we aim to sew and ship your new gear within 2 weeks of purchase and you'll be notified of the shipping details as soon as we've packaged your order. you'll be rocking the freshest gear in no time.

You may find the value of your gift card by entering your gift card number during the checkout process. You cannot use a discount code when purchasing a gift card. Apliiq is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards and cannot re-issue gift cards.

what is the last day to order so i receive my package before christmas?

monday december 9th is the last day to place an order with free usps first class shipping and receive it in time for christmas. if you'd like to place an order after december 9th, and would like your order rushed, please email cs@apliiq.com to request a $10 rush fee invoice. we also recommend selecting an expedited shipping service such as usps priority 2-3 day or usps express 1-2 day shipping. for more info, see our holiday shipping policy here.

do i have to sign for my shipment when it arrives?

all online orders are processed with USPS and do not require signatures. if you would like to require a signature it is an additional $1.95. if you have a special request, simply call the workshop at 213.263.4226 or email us to let us know about your request before you complete your purchase. shipping charges may vary depending on the nature of your request.

how can i track my order?

we’ll send you tracking info. enter the tracking number we provide you on usps.com

it's been 5 days since i placed my order and i haven't received tracking info, where is it?

what happens if an item is backordered?

we will notify you immediately and discuss your options. backordered items are unusual, however we appreciate your patience when these things happen. we are happy to fill your order in a different size or color... but if the delay and/or exchange is unsuitable for you, we will gladly refund your money and we certainly apologize for the inconvenience.

how does apliiq pricing work?

Prices are based on the number and placement of fabric patches, the base garment selected, and the number of items that you buy.
Prices include shipping in the US and there are no hidden fees.

What are some money saving tips?

  1. we offer premium garments made in the usa by the world renowned brand american apparel. we also offer more affordable options in similar cuts and fits that are made all over the world from other popular brands such as gildan and tulex. starting with a base garment from gildan or tultex is a great way to save money with while showcasing your same style, artwork, and fabric design.
  2. our jackets and hoodies are higher price point items. if you're looking to save money, consider your design on a tshirt, tank top or even a beanie!
  3. reducing the number of patches on your design will keep your design more affordable. remember, a little bit of fabric goes a long way!
  4. reducing or combining artworks into a single piece of artwork will lower the cost of your item. substituting small patches for custom artwork may also reduce your total cost.
  5. buy a few extra. the more you buy the more you save. there are no minimum quantities for any design - you can mix and match styles to see your discount. discount codes for buying more than 1 piece are automatically applied in checkout. add more pieces to your order and watch your savings increase!

What does the price include?

All prices include free shipping in the US. There are NO setup fees and no design fees. The price you see is the price you pay.

Using bulk discount magic we automatically apply the best bulk discount to your order. If you have a discount code you can enter it in checkout.

Can I use a discount code and a bulk discount?

You can only use one discount per order.

When I tried to checkout i got this message "we have selected the best discount option for you." what does this mean?

We are serious about savings! When you enter a discount code we make sure to apply the discount that will give you the most savings.

If I buy 10 of design A and 10 of design B, do I get the bulk discount for 20?

What Are Apliiq's Artwork Guidelines?

Our custom products are only as good as our designer - you! To ensure the best quality, please read the following guidelines carefully so that you know your artwork will be optimized for our services.

An artist reviews every design and we will do everything in our power to make your clothing amazing. After placing your order an Apliiq artist may contact you to finalize your design.

We don't assume responsibility for copyrighted designs sent to us as artwork. By submitting a design, you warrant that you're authorized to manufacture products with that design.

How to make my artwork look the best?

To ensure the best results, make sure your artwork file is the correct dimensions, resolution, and file size. Each product is a little different, so get all the details below!

What file types do you support?

All the popular ones, like .PNG, .JPEG, .GIF, .BMP, .SVG

What’s the biggest file size my file can be?

We accept files up to 6MB.

What’s dimensions can my file be?

For cut & sew applique artwork, we recommend 1000 pixels at its longest dimension.
For screen printing and digital printing we recommend a minimum of 150 DPI, but 300 DPI is ideal.

How do I add text & numbers?

Use any font in your favorite word processor. Make sure you use a large font size and save. Then, upload your file as artwork.

How should I prepare my artwork for pocket tees?

What is cut & sew?

When we turn your art into a "cut & sew" patch, it basically means we're turning it into a fabric stencil.

How do I prepare my artwork for cut & sew?

The best images to upload are black & white stencils! Anything in your image that is black will be turned into fabric. Anything in your image that is white will not appear in the finished product. We recommend your file to be 1000 pixels at the largest dimension. Read this article for all the details

How big can my cut & sew artwork be?

The biggest we can make any cut & sew artwork is around 14" tall by 14" wide. Please keep that in mind when you are designing.

How to choose the perfect fabric for my artwork?

There is no perfect answer, but a couple simple rules can help you find a great match for your artwork.
For simple artwork shapes explore more intricate fabric patterns.
For complex artwork shapes, keep the fabric pattern simple, like a solid color.

What is embroidery?

Embroidery is creating your artwork using only thread. Your design is stitched directly onto the garment in a solid color. It is best used for detailed text or designs. It is the preferred way to add artwork to snapbacks and camper hats. Read more about how to prepare artwork for embroidery.

How big can you make embroidery?

It is used in areas smaller than 4" x 4". For snapback and camper hats the largest embroidery can be 5.5" x 2"

What is "full color" or digital printing?

This method of printing is best if you want to print images with a lot of colors, like a photograph or illustration. This option is also very cost effective if you only want to order a small quantity.

To choose this method, when you're customizing your product, just click the "Artwork" tab, upload your image, choose "Print," and then select "Full color."

How do I prepare my artwork for full color printing?

For the best quality, we recommend images with a minimum dpi of 150. 300 dpi is the best but not essential.
PLEASE NOTE: Images with a dpi below 150 may come out looking pixelated, grainy, or blurry. Discover how to prepare artwork for digital print.

What is dpi?

DPI stands for "dots per inch" and refers to the resolution of the image. The higher the resolution, the higher the quality! 300 dpi is considered high resolution and high quality for full color printing.

How do I know if my image is high quality for full color printing?

High quality or high resolution images are usually between150-300 dpi. Unfortunately, most web images are 72 dpi and are not suitable for full color printing in large sizes. You can use software such as Photoshop to find out your dpi or send us your photo and we'll let you know!

How big can you make full color printing?

The biggest we can get any digital full color print is 12" wide by 15" tall. Please keep this in mind when you're designing your product.

What is screen printing?

This method of printing is best if you want to print a large quantity, and want specific colors.

To choose this method, when you're customizing your product, just click the "Artwork" tab, upload your image, choose "Print," and then select the colors you want us to print.

How do I prepare my artwork for screen printing?

For the best quality, we recommend images with a minimum dpi of 150. 300 dpi is the best but not essential. We also suggest reducing the amount of colors you choose for the best price for screen printing. Discover how to prepare your artwork for screen printing.

I have no idea how to prepare my artwork, can you help me before I place my order?

We are happy to help, simply live chat us, we have artists standing by to review your artwork and make sure it will work.

Am I going to get in trouble if I resell custom clothing I've purchased?

You're not going to get in trouble if you resell clothing you've bought from Apliiq.com.

Is it okay if I put my name on my custom clothing?

You most certainly can put your name on your custom clothing.

Can another store stock my designs?

Absolutely. Have your designs stocked at as many stores as you want!

If I make money on it, do I have to split it with apliiq?

The only time we split a sale is when the sale occurs on Apliiq.com. Otherwise, it's all yours.

Am I going to be sued if I make money from my design?

If it's your design you can sell it all day long. We have no legal standing to sue, and wouldn't if we did.

My Campaign Just Got Funded, When Do I Get Paid?

You get paid on or around the 15th of the next month.

Can I add my branding to my campaign?

Yes, there are 4 ways to add branding to your campaign. You can set the campaign name, campaign description, you can add branding to your product and you can add your photographs or logo as a product image on the campaign page by emailing them to Apliiq (see below).

Can I add my own product photographs to my campaign page?

Yes, the Apliiq team can add your photography to your campaign page. Your images must be minimum 577 X 880 and accurately depict the product in the campaign. Email your photos to cs@apliiq.com, make sure to include your campaign name.

How Can I Create Product Photography For A Campaign?

The best way is to order a sample product, prior to launching your campaign. Please make sure your campaign is approved, so you are sure that sample can be used in a campaign. Check out these 3 simple tips to design products that will be approved for campaigns.

How Do I Make Sure My Labels Are On My Product?

You must purchase your labels prior to the end of your campaign. Please be sure to contact us once your campaign is funded and let us know you want your labels sewn in!

Does Apliiq Help In Marketing My Campaign?

Marketing and promoting the campaign is primarily your responsibility. However, from time to time Apliiq selects campaigns we like and promotes them.

Can I just buy my designs in bulk and re-sell them on my own?

Yes of course! A bulk discount is automatically added to your cart when you order quantity.
